Students will write their name vertically down a sheet of paper. Students will write a complete sentence starting with each letter of their name. Students will decorate their paper according to what they have written. Purpose of this assignment is to have students write an acrostic poem relating to their life and how they view themselves.

Find a poem from a famous poet and explain how it relates to your own life. 5. What is your favorite type of poetry and why? (ex: limerick, haiku, etc.) 6.
