Where are we now? Achanging and challenging world. Different Different cultures. Higher Higher demands/expectations & public profile. An An very centralised system. Too Too much external assessment; too much learning for assessment.

Some Myths Millions Millions leave primary schools illiterate. Synthetic Synthetic phonics is the answer. More More male teachers will improve boys attainment. Choice Choice increases equity. SATs SATs are a good way of showing whether teaching is improving.

An Effective Teaching Assistant Empathy. Empathy. Knows Knows the children. In In contact with parents. Has Has skills and knowledge. Perseveres Perseveres – never gives up on any child.
