War, war never changes. Every time when aggressors come to our homeland, civilians protect the country as they can. They endowed their own lives for protection of the country, without hesitation, and these immortal exploits won't be forgotten.

Women at war – a special subject. They worked at factories instead of men, almost around the clock looked after wounded in hospitals, bravely battled on a front line. Many of them entered guerrilla groups and made diversions in the back of the enemy forces. I would like to tell about two female guerrillas who at will of destiny got to one group and together battled the enemy: Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and Vera Voloshina.

Zoya and her brother Alexander Zoya - the first woman awarded rank the Hero of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War. She became a symbol of heroism of the Soviet citizens in the Great Patriotic War. This image is reflected in fiction, journalism, a cinema, painting, monumental art, museum expositions.

Zoya Anatolyevna Kosmodemyanskaya was born on September in the village Osino-Guy of the Tambov region, in a family of teachers. Zoya well studied at school, was fond of history and literature, dreamed to enter the Literary institute. In October, 1938 Zoya entered All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. However, the relations with schoolmates were difficult, Zoya couldn't find the girlfriend among contemporaries.

On October 31, 1941 Zoya, among 2000 Komsomol volunteers, was to a place of collecting at Kolizey cinema and from there was brought to diversionary school, having become the fighter of prospecting and diversionary body No Zoya as a part of group was thrown on November 4 to the district of Volokolamsk where the group successfully consulted from the first task - a road mining.

At 10:30 on 29 th November, 1941, Kosmodemyanskaya was brought to the street where the gallows was already built; she had the plate on a breast with an inscription "The instigator of houses". Before execution Zoya said words of an appeal: "Citizens! Don't stand, don't look. You should help to Red Armyat war, and our companions will revenge the German fascists for my death. The Soviet Union is invincible and won't be won". Addressing to the German soldiers, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya told: "German soldiers! While the getting is good, give up in captivity. How many us hang up, but you won't hang all, there're 170 million of us".

in the top row the second at the left - Vera Voloshina She was born on September 30, 1919 in the city of Kemerovo. From school she played sports: gymnastics and athletics. In the senior classes she won the city championship on high jumps. Upon termination of ten classes Vera entered the Moscow institute of physical culture and sport.

There is a myth that Voloshina was model for a statue "The girl with an oar" which was established at a main entrance of the Central recreation park in an environment of fountains. Numerous similarity of this statue appeared in parks of all Soviet Union subsequently.

In the summer of 1941 Vera passed examinations for a third year and went to Zagorsk situated near Moscow for passing of work practice. On June 22 she together with classmates decided to visit the museum of Trinity-Sergius Lavra. On the road of the girls came into department store and bought Vera a white silk dress - next year she was going to get married. Right after the beginning of the Great Patriotic War she was mobilized for digging of entrenchments and anti-tank ditches on approaches to Moscow. In October she voluntary joined the ranks of Red Army and was enlisted in a body № On the first task the Vera went on October 21, 1941 to the area of Moscow region station Zavidovo.

Locals reported that Vera was hung up by Germans on November 29, 1941 in Golovkovo's state farm. Here’s the description Vera’s death. Vera was brought by car to the gallows. It lay in the car in underwear, all in blood. Two Germans wanted to put it on feet, but the girl pushed away Germans and rose. Then Vera started speaking. At first she spoke German, and then in Russian:" I am not afraid of death. My companions will revenge for me. We will win. Here will see!" And the girl started singing "International". The officer who ordered execution, shouted to soldiers. They threw to the girl a loop over a neck and came off the car. The officer ran up to the driver and gave command to touch from a place. The girl still managed to shout: "Farewell, companions!"

Without sparing life as Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and Vera Voloshina, our ancestors won against the enemy, and it will never be forgotten.
