The History The cookie factory, the global leader in the chocolate confectionery market, began in 1983 when two young Korean immigrants, named Heehyun Chee and Sangjae Park, came to the United States. When they fought in the Korean War, they could never have chocolate chips cookies that they loved so much. So, the two veterans decided to open their first shop in Hawaii. Sangjae Park used his grandmother secret recipe to make his specialty cookies. It was a hit! Everybody loves the cookies! As their business expanded, they hired three young cute girls to help them. Together they founded The Cookie Factory.

Ingredients and Recipe INGREDIENTS * ½ cup butter * ½ cup brown sugar * cup granulated sugar * ½ tsp vanilla * 1 cup flour * 1 egg * ¾ tsp baking soda * ¼ tsp salt * 1 cup chocolate chips * ½ cup nuts DIRECTION * Mix butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla until smooth. * Mix flour, baking soda, salt. Stir and beat into butter mixture. Add chips and nuts. * Bake in 300 until edges are browned (14 mins).
