Disinfectants 8

Any product that claims to “KILL” anything needs to be registered with the EPA If there is no registration there is no “kill claim” If there is no kill claim you can not legally say your product eliminates the organism Disinfectants 9

All registered products must be used EXACTLY as the labels state they are to be used to validate the kill claim Because these products “KILL”, every label states they must be used in accordance with label directions under penalty of law Disinfectants 10

Tip #1 You CANNOT disinfect a dirty surface! Tip #2 You need to allow the proper contact time! Tip #3 Most cleaner disinfectants require rinsing! Disinfectants 11

Disinfectants and Sanitizers both kill microorganisms. The primary difference between the two is the contact time required to kill Disinfectants Primary label directions usually call for 1 to 10 minutes wet contact time Sanitizers Primary label directions usually call for 30 seconds to 1 minute contact time Disinfectants vs. Sanitizers 12
