{ Good Food Good Mood … IN ROMANIA

“Good Food Good Mood” project in which our college is involved, reinforces once more our strong belief in the need of a positive attitude towards healthy eating. The theory combined successfully with the practical activities help us get a better understanding of the benefits of this type of nutrition. Moreover, we have the opportunity to compare different European eating habits and find out basic ingredients commonly used, thus contrasting our gastronomic cultures.

On important events and national days, the students, guided by their teachers, organized photography exhibitions in which they gave information about traditional recipes, specific to each event.

The students were encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to create Christmas cards for all the participating countries.

“Zacusca”, sponge cake, cookies with jam filling and polenta with cream were a small part of the dishes the Romanian delegation delighted the countries’ representatives. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by these recipes and wanted to know them, which they have subsequently put into practice.

In the past two months, the students who are part of the Romanian delegation in the second meeting of the project in England, have been designing an original, themed calendar. They have dedicated a month to a traditional recipe of each country, so that every participant could have a little gastronomical database. This project got us involved in a series of activities which lead to us becoming aware of the need to pay attention to our diet. We intend to convince our colleagues and friends to choose healthy food and to persuade them to join in our activities and projects on similar topics. Lessons about good food represent lessons for life.
