Definition of Keywords Design view: Allows input and editing of fields Datasheet View: Allows input of records (information) into the database Sort: Put into order (sequence): numerical or alphabetically (ascending or descending) Primary key: identifies the field that will hold unique information

Primary Key The primary key identifies the field that will hold unique data. This is a way of preventing duplication of records What does unique mean? Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else What could be a unique information? Date of birth, passport number, membership or ID number, or a car index plate! National Insurance number
