3 Mumbai City District came into existence from 1st October, 1990 consequent upon the bifurcation of the Greater Mumbai into two revenue district namely, Mumbai city and Mumbai Suburban. Originally Greater Mumbai comprised of 6 Parliamentary Constituencies having 34 assembly segments. After the recommendation of Delimitation Commission, 10 Assembly Constituencies come under the geographical jurisdiction of Mumbai City District. 5 Mumbai City in collaboration with AGNI (NGO) IVOTE requested 30 colleges to allow the administration to sensitize and enroll all the students in electoral roll. 14 colleges of Mumbai City District responded. Schedule prepared for all the colleges. Team of volunteers made for enrollment and sensitization in the colleges. Bulk forms provided to colleges. Formats of requisite documents made. Principals and Warden authenticated the documents e.g. age / residence students were enrolled.

11  To get students studying in colleges, EPIC through an easy online registration (and updation)  Online Submission of Form 8 Through Network of Internet / Cyber Cafes.  Online Application Is already Launched - Voter Can Search His Name and Upload His Photographs Either by Scanning or Through Web-cam From Cyber Cafe or homes & Corporate offices. 14 Why Online ?  Use of Available Infrastructure Network.  Elector Can Avail Facility As Per His Convenience – Place & Time  Awareness Already Created for Online Admission Process Recently Introduced by Government – 25 Lack Students Will Be Submitting Online.  Various Political Parties Have Already Setup Centers With Internet Connection and Web Cam for Helping Students.  Same Infrastructure & Network Can Be Put Into Use.  The Application Is As Simple As Select Name – Capture Photo – Upload – Print – Drop Box.  No Need to Hire and Employ Additional Digital Cameras and Man Power
