THE ROLE OF RIVER-THE ACIENT EGYPTIANS.

Opening This book is talking about ancient Egypt. The first thing we should know about Egypt is not their god, pharaoh, food, agriculture. Is their river-The Nile. The Nile is the main river of Egypt ad is the longest river in the world. The river is very important for them because it help them to survive and help them to grow their agriculture. It means if there is no the Nile then there will don’t have the Egypt.

THE NILE The Nile is the longest river in the world. And it is the source of Egypt. But there is a Geographer in Brazil said that the Amazon River is longer than the the Nile river. But most of the Geographer did not agree with that. The Nile is 6650 KM long. Although the Nile in the old time is 900 mile longer, but it is covered by a Volcanic eruptions. The relationship between the Nile and Egypt. The Nile is the main water source of the Egypt. The Egyptians will use the water to grow their agriculture and help them to survive. So the Nile is very important for the Egypt and the Egyptians.

Picture of the NILE

Systems Government: The pharaoh is the king of the Egypt. When the pharaoh is old or dead. The son of the pharaoh will be the next pharaoh and lead the Egyptians. All of the power for other officer in the Imperial family is from the pharaoh. It means the pharaoh can almost control all the things in Egypt.

Technology Building: There is a amazing buildings in Egypt(Pyramid). People don’t know how to build a huge buildings in the old time. There is 80 Pyramid in Egypt it is the Cemetery of pharaoh. And the biggest Pyramid call (The great pyramid) The height of the great pyramid of now is meters. But Original height is meters but some of them is broken. Mummy: In Egypt there is a ways to keep the human body for a thousand years. The way to doing it is first take out all of the organ out, then use some special liquid to soak those organ. Then put some salt and spices on the body until it absorb all of the water in the body. Finally use some strips of cloth to package the body. Than it can keep for thousand.

Thought Gods, religion: There is a lot of gods in their religion. You maybe very confuse because there is only one god in most of the religion. But the Egyptians have a lot of god is because their river system(The Nile). First we need to know about they thought the pharaoh is the only human being who can talk to the gods. The pharaoh will pray for the flood of the Nile. If the Nile not flood many Egyptians and animals (there is a lot of god look like animals in the Egypt religion) will die then the jackal(Jackal represent the god who control deaf) will come and eat their meat. So the jackal is the god who control deaf. They also believe in the under world. When the pharaoh is dead they will turn the pharaoh in to a mummy. They will take out all of the organ out except the heart. The organ will be but it in to three little jar. They believe that it can protect the pharaoh to the under world. There is the place that all of the gods live. The Anubis will use a Balance to measure the pharaoh s heart with a feather from the truth of god. If the heart is feather then the heart the pharaoh can have eternal life and the Egyptians will get happiness. (you can know the job of the god and what are they look like. At this website)
