Course Prerequisite  Completed OA101 (Keyboarding)

GCC Prerequisite Policy (Page 24) “Course prerequisites are courses to be completed or conditions to be met before a student is eligible to enroll in a specific course. A student who has enrolled in a course without first completing all course prerequisite may be disenrolled from that course by the College. Prerequisites are identified in program listings with a “+” sign.”

Course Prerequisite (continued):  Type at least 30 wpm.  Basic introductory skills of using Microsoft Word.

Course Prerequisite (continued):  Demonstrate creating, formatting, printing and saving a Word document.

Course Prerequisite (continued):  Demonstrate knowledge of document formats. Creating Memos, Letters, Reports, etc.

Course Prerequisite (continued):  Basic introductory skills of using a Computer: Power the computer On and Shut Down. Move around the Windows Desktop. Use the Mouse. Start and Close any Windows application.

Course Objectives  Students will be using Microsoft Office 2003.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:  Demonstrate introductory skills using: Microsoft Excel 2003 – (spreadsheet) Microsoft Access 2003 – (database) Microsoft PowerPoint 2003– (presentation)
