The major land forms are of lowland and highland. The highland is higher land up in to the Mountains. Low lands are lower land down in the Mountains or in swamps. The last one is the Appalachian Mountains. The natural resources of the south east that were used in the past are Iron ore, that was used to make steel in the 1800’s. The natural resources of the South East region today are resource supplied by nature. The geographic features that other regions don't have are the Atlantic and the Gulf. The last thing is that the South East has the Everglades. The elevation of the South East is from sea level (Everglades) to ten thousand feet high (Appalachian Mountains).

Because the African Americans grew Tobacco. Part of there cultures are music. They four different kinds of famous music. One is delta blues Tennessee is famous four that one, another is Dixieland jazz New Orleans is famous four that one, blue grass, and Cajun music. These are the southeast regions famous music. They African Americans help develop the music.

The early settlers in the South East region were the African Americans and the Gees Bend people. The African Americans settled to grow and pick tobacco because they were forced to, they did not have a choice because they were slaves. A person named Mark Pettway brought 100 slaves to Gees Bend. After the Civil War the slaves were free and most of the African Americans stayed and Whites left. The early settlers of the region that used the natural resources are the African Americans.

The resources that the southeast does to make a living is planting fruit, growing cotton, and using the oil rigs. The early settlers of the south east made slaves grow and pick Tobacco. Now in days there is no slaves and anybody how wants to grow pick and sell Tobacco can. The population density of the South East region impact is that if you have more people than the more money businesses get.

Miami 10,160 per square mile New Orleans 2684 per square mile Tampa Bay 2707 per square mile The population impacts of Miami is that it is right next to the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico. Most of all there is warm weather to grow plants and take a swim. The population impacts of New Orleans is that they are next to the Gulf of México. There also famous for there music.

The population impacts of Tampa Bay are they have great Hotels. They are a port city for ships to trade and travel. The population density affects how people live work and use transportation. It affects people by building up high because there is no room for houses. They have to work in small delis because there is no room for big restaurants for example. If there is a lot of people in a certain area than there is buses and taxies ect. In places that don’t have that many people they have more of cars.

Tampa bay: Baton Rouge: Montgomery: The severe weather Tampa bay has is floods, and Hurricanes, Baton Rouge has thunderstorms and Hurricanes. Montgomery has bad tornadoes, bad thunderstorms. Hurricanes are formed by moist air rising up to hit warm air to form a hurricane. Tornadoes are formed by warm air and cold air. When they hit each other they spin to make a tornado.

Thunder storms are formed by moisture, unstable air and lift. You need moisture to form clouds and rain. You need unstable air that is relatively warm and can rise rapidly. The weather instruments used to predict a storm is they use scales. They have Tornadoes scale and a hurricane scale. The scales have numbers, the higher the number the worst the storm will be. Next to the numbers they have how fast the winds will be. They also use satellites to now if a storm is coming.

SAFETY TIPS 1. Make sure every one or everything is with you. 2. Fill your bath tub up with water. 3. Make sure you have a Safety Kit. 4.Stay in a crawl space or basement (For crawl spaces don’t go in when there is a flood.)

It is warmer than the North East and more humid in the South East. The things that are common are Hurricanes, Tornados, Floods and Thunder Storms. The warm and humid weather helps to grow fruits and vegetables. North in the South East by west Virginia they will have less fruits and vegetables in the winter. Florida has more in the winter because it is warm in Florida.
