Choose your subjects…

Import your base data from FFT

FFT KS4 Estimates parameters: Subject - Selected group of subjects taken from GCSE Full Course list. Estimate Basis – KS2, PA (Prior Attainment) – KS2, SE (Socio-Economic) – KS3, PA (Prior Attainment) – KS3, SE (Socio-Economic) – KS2/3, PA (Prior Attainment) – brings back both KS2 and KS3 based results in the same grid – KS2/3, SE (Socio-Economic) – brings back both KS2 and KS3 based results in the same grid Show KS2/3 test as – Decimal Level (e.g. 4.9) – Sub-Level (e.g. 4A) – Full Level (e.g. 4) – Rank – Rank 5 to 50 in steps of 5 Year - Current Academic year and the next 4 academic years Cumulative – Cumulative / Non-Cumulative Highlight grades – On /Off

SIMS FFT Aspects Assessment aspects are generated for all selected subjects. Separate aspects are generated for the GM, HGM and GA estimates for both the PA and SE estimate basis against both KS2 and KS3 estimates. This means there are 12 aspects for each subject.

Discover and the New Ofsted Framework SIMS Discover in Bishop Gilpin Primary School, Merton

Groups of Pupils: Inspection is primarily about evaluating how individual pupils benefit from their school. It is important to test the school’s response to individual needs by observing how well it helps all pupils to make progress and fulfil their potential Key Difference: Greater focus on pupil groups and narrowing the gaps in attainment and progress The New Ofsted Framework

OutstandingGoodSatisfactory Progress Almost all pupils are making rapid and sustained progress in most subjects over time given their starting points. Pupils are making better progress than all pupils nationally, given their starting points. Pupils are progressing at least as well as all pupils nationally given their starting points. Groups & inclusion Disabled pupils, and those with special educational needs, are also making rapid and sustained progress. Groups of pupils, including disabled pupils and those with special educational needs, are also making better progress than similar groups of pupils nationally. Groups of pupils, including disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs, are also making progress in line with similar groups of pupils nationally. Ofsted Judgements - Achievement Outstanding Almost all pupils are making rapid and sustained progress in most subjects over time given their starting points. Disabled pupils, and those with special educational needs, are also making rapid and sustained progress.

OutstandingGoodSatisfactory Attainment The standards of attainment of almost all groups of pupils are likely to be at least in line with national averages for all pupils, with many above average. Performance will exceed floor standards. The standards of attainment of the large majority of groups of pupils are likely to be at least in line with national averages for all pupils. In exceptional circumstances, where attainment, including attainment in reading in primary schools, is low overall, it is improving at a faster rate than nationally over a sustained period. Performance is usually at least in line with floor standards. The standards of attainment of the majority of groups of pupils are likely to be in line with national averages for all pupils. In exceptional circumstances, where attainment, including attainment in reading in primary schools, is low overall, it is improving over a sustained period. Ofsted Judgements - Achievement Outstanding The standards of attainment of almost all groups of pupils are likely to be at least in line with national averages for all pupils, with many above average.

Improved Outcomes - Outstanding Wimbledon Chase Primary School Inspected 2-3 May 2012 Quotes from the Official report The Inspectors ‘scrutinised the school’s own data analysis of pupils achievement Key findings – Achievement of pupils “All groups of pupils, including disabled pupils and those with special educational needs, make progress which is never less than good and which is significantly above average for most pupils. Where the school has identified small differences, swift and effective intervention ensures pupils quickly catch up with their peers.” Inspection number

“There is no question that SIMS and Discover has helped facilitate the ability to analyse an overwhelming quantity of data across the whole school in a much shorter time period than previously. It is a simple and manageable system that can be used by the assessment coordinator and class teachers to identify both attainment and progress, within year groups and key stages, for individual pupils and specific target groups, whilst also giving an overview of the whole school.” “The system really came into its own for me during our recent Ofsted when I needed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the most recent data within hours. I have no doubt that this helped us to be recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ school.” Catherine Roberts, Deputy Head Wimbledon Chase Primary School Improved Outcomes - Outstanding
