Status Report University of Bristol 3 rd GridPP Collaboration Meeting 14/15 February, 2002Marc Kelly University of Bristol 2 Status ~6 Staff involved in Grid related work. 2 full time (1 PostDoc, 1 PostGrad) Several Test Machines already in use. A mix of clean installations and upgrades to existing servers. 5 new machines awaiting delivery. To be used to form a Testbed 1 development cluster.

Status Report University of Bristol 3 rd GridPP Collaboration Meeting 14/15 February, 2002Marc Kelly University of Bristol 3 Status (Part 2) Plans to move to using LCFG for future installations to avoid manual rpm installs. Will only work on fresh machines. Existing servers will still need manual installs. Several problems have been uncovered and solutions found. E.g custom rpm lists generated from official ones. Currently testing installs of CE+SE, and CE+UI on machines from these custom lists.

BaBarGRID Monitoring system. Pulls data from MDS and displays it using perl scripts on an Apache web server. Experience in adding non standard data to the Globus MDS. E.g. BaBar Monte-Carlo status.
