Fact  A fact is something that can be proven or checked. ~example~ Salmon River Elementary School is in Fort Covington.

Opinion  An opinion is what someone thinks or believes. ~example~ Salmon River Elementary is the best school.

Fact or Opinion  Bats are scary creatures.

Fact or Opinion Bats are the only mammals that fly.

Fact or Opinion  People should be afraid of bats.

Fact or Opinion  Bats can see but use echolocation to help find bugs.

Fact and Opinion  Show what you have learned. After reading a book about bats write 1 fact and 1 opinion about bats on a bat cut out. Be ready to share with the class.
