Our subject: Abraham Lincoln

 Abraham Lincoln's role in the civil war and how it aligns with the U.D.H.R. ◦ U.D.H.R stands for universal declaration of human rights.

 The U.D.H.R is of essence that all people should be free.  The universal declaration of human rights is against slavery and votes for equal rights for all people no matter what color or gender.

 Abraham Lincoln was the president of the United States. He played an important role in the Civil War. ◦ The Civil War occurred in America The two sides were the union and the confederate. The union was against slavery in the north, and the confederate was proslavery and in the south.

 Slavery is:  Working without pay,  cannot own property  property of the master  Slaves cannot go anywhere without permission.

 He announced the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862, and announced the 13 Amendment in  The Emancipation Proclamation made slavery illegal.  The thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery.

 The U.D.H.R says that all human beings should have the same equal rights and be treated equally.  Abraham Lincoln by helping pass the thirteenth Amendment set the U.S on a coarse that agrees with the U.D.H.R.
