This format has been broadcast for the past 4 years on public televisions in Spain: Canal Sur Televisión and Aragón Televisión The success of the program has motivated other Spanish televisions to use a similar format, but without the same degree of quality Format 4

 Provide “Prime Time” entertainment for the entire family.  Find Germans who are living abroad so they can tell us their stories.  Visit countries the world over and show viewers their customs at the hand of the Germans living there.  Share German customs and traditions with other cultures.  Learn from other cultures and countries.  Show Germans as an example of social integration. “Germans around the World” is a 50-minute documentary program that searches the world to find Germans who are willing to tell us their stories. From the older generations who emigrated or were exiled, to the younger generations, educated in Germany but who decide to perform their career abroad. Synopsis 6

Over the past 20 years, approximately two and a half million Germans have left their homeland to start a new life in another country. More than 100,000 German citizens leave their country every year. Some have moved away for only a few years, while others have no plans of returning.. Some left in search of a dream, others a new job, or a new life style while still more followed their hearts in search of love or adventures. Germans abroad 7
