Purpose Review current provisions of Debt Arrangement Scheme (Scotland) Regulations 2011:- What’s working well What’s not working so well What do we need to address How can we work better together

The Changes Widen Money Advice Gateway DAS Administrator administers DPPs from free sector money advisers (MAs) Update the approval process to become DAS Approved MA New central IT system – DASH Joint DPP for couples DPPs for single debts 6-month payment holiday Change payment distribution process Recovers costs to public purse

DAS Approved Money Advisers 94 Approved Money Advisers who submitted at least one DPP pre-July Now 105 active Approved Money Adviser organisations 78% free sector, 22% fee-charging

DAS Approved Money Advisers The split of approved cases since 1 July 2011 is –41.3% free sector, 58.7% fee-paying
