W HAT B IO FUELS AND B IOMASS BRIQUETTES ARE USED FOR ? Bio fuels; can be used for powering ponds. Micro algae. Replace petroleum diesel. Produce ethanol. Biomass briquettes; Used to replace charcoal. Can be sued by energy producing companies. Used to boil water Power turbines to power electricity.

Bio fuels are used for such items as: Wood, corn, waste, garbage, landfill gases, and alcohol fuels. Biomass briquettes are used for items such as: coal, charcoal, heat boiler in manufacturing plants, have application for developing countries. Benefits of bio fuels are they help reduce carbon in the air, cheaper than fossil fuels, doesn’t need any radical change, such as solar and wind power, reduce the about of foreign oils, and less particulate pollutions than other fuels. Benefits of biomass briquettes, The cost because its very cheap and the only other that is cheaper is coal which isn't cheaper in the long run. The storage and handling because when you put the biomass waste in to the briquettes it reduces the volume by 10 percent.

D RAWBACKS Bio fuels draw back. They aren't completely cost free. Water use. Regional suitability. Food security. Deforestation. Fertilizer use. Fuel use. Quality. Monoculture. Genetic engineering of bio fuel crops. Technical challenges. Biomass briquettes drawbacks, Produce greenhouse gases. The plant can absorb it and create global warming. Combustion of the fuels can be consumed faster than it can be replaced. Not very efficient. Collecting the feasible biomass is very difficult. Limits to how quickly it can be replaced.

G OVERNMENT PLANS FOR FULL CONVERSION. What the government is trying to do about bio fuels and biomass briquettes is they are trying to make it be the main source. They are trying find an energy source that’s better than what we have now. They want something that has a very good benefits and little drawbacks. Something that wont harm the environment. That will actually help and do good for the environment. Bio fuels.Main source? No? Or Yes?

W HY (: The reasons that bio fuels are not our main source is because its not reliable. The same goes for biomass briquettes. They both also have many defects. Some source of energy are better than other in certain places than other but those that aren't are better at something else. Some might be cheap but are really unreliable. They aren’t free, and are not efficient.
