Microsoft Word Lesson 1

The Undo Button  Don’t worry about making a mistake. If you make a mistake, go up and hit Edit and then hit Undo, Or you can click the back arrow

Remember  You may forget what a button is for. When this happens, move your mouse over the button and wait a few seconds, Windows will tell you what that button is for

How to Open Microsoft Word  Start Microsoft word by double clicking on the icon of the blue “W”.

How to Change the Font Type  To change the font highlight the text you want to change. Then click the drop down menu next to the font name. The drop down menu is the little arrow pointing down. Choose whatever font you like. You may also change font before you type, but most students find this difficult

How to Change the Font Size  It is almost always located right next to the font on your toolbar. High light the text you wish to change. Then click on the arrow. Finally select the size you want

Changing the Font Color  Highlight the text you want to change. Hit the button on the toolbar that looks like an A. When you hit the A, the text will change to whatever color is underlining the A.

Saving Your Work  Click on the word file then select save. Check the papers name and choose ok.
