Today we’ll learn: How to make a table in Microsoft Word How to insert a picture in Microsoft Word How to make a PowerPoint presentation

To insert a table, place the cursor where you want the table to be Choose Table, Insert, Table from the drop down menu

In the dialog box, choose the number of columns and rows you want to appear in the table Choose AutoFit to contents and click OK

The table appears in a small box. Begin entering the words you want in the table. Don’t forget you need the top row for labeling each column!

After entering all of your words, edit the borders by right- clicking and choosing Borders and Shading from the drop down menu. Then unselect the borders (lines) you want to disappear. You can also edit other aspects of the table using this menu.

Today we’ll make a table that looks like this: EnglishUkrainian eggplant шоколад parsley ананас pepper петрушка pineapple баклажан rice мед chocolate рис honey перець

To insert an image, place your cursor where you want the image to appear. Choose Insert, Picture, From File and select the image you want to use.

Your image may appear too big. Don’t worry, you can resize it. Resize by dragging the double arrow that appears when you move the cursor over the picture handles on any of the four corners.

If you are inserting a picture on a document with text, you may want to wrap the text around the picture. Click on the Text Wrapping Tool on the Picture Toolbar.

A dialog box appears. You can choose many ways to wrap the text.

To move your image exactly where you want it to be, move the cursor near the image until the cursor has four arrows then click and drag. The box enclosed in dotted lines shows you where the picture will be placed.

Today we’ll insert an image onto a document to look like this: Bananas I like bananas. I eat them everyday. Bananas are my favorite fruit. They are yellow and sweet. Bananas are very good for one’s health. Because they are so delicious, they make a perfect dessert or snack.

To make a PowerPoint presentation choose Create a New Presentation. The first slide appears with the Title. Under it, you may write your name.

Add your own text to each slide by clicking in the box and typing or by typing in the Outline View of your presentation.

To add more bullets, simply press Enter.

To insert a new slide, choose Insert, New Slide. To format the slide (or insert a new slide with a different layout) choose Format, Slide Layout and choose the format you want.

To preview your presentation, click on the preview icon in the lower left-hand corner. It looks like a projection screen. While viewing the preview, click the Space Key or Down Arrow on the keyboard to view the next slide.
