Why Learn This? Working Purposes Educational Purposes Everyday Purposes

Intended Learning Objective (ILO) At the conclusion of this lesson, the students will be able to insert a photo into a Microsoft Word document given a computer, a saved photo, and the Microsoft Word program to insert the photo while making no mistakes using the steps that will be given.

Pre-Test Question #1 When inserting a photo into a Microsoft Word Document, the photo: A.MUST be saved in My Documents B.MUST be saved to the Desktop C.Should NOT be saved to the desktop D.Can be saved in almost any folder

Pre-Test Question #2 When inserting a photo into a document after clicking on the insert menu toolbar tab the next step is to: A.Stop there…there is nothing else to do B.Click on the button that says picture C.Click on the insert to document button D.Go to the format menu to prepare the picture

Pre-Test Question #3 When inserting a photo into a Microsoft Word Document it is important to know that a photo can: A.ONLY be inserted from the internet B.ONLY be inserted from a digital camera C.Be inserted if it was saved from the Internet OR a digital camera D.None of the above are correct

Step-By-Step Instructional Content 1.Find a picture off of the Internet. Right click it and save it to your desktop. 2.Open a Microsoft Word Document.

Coaching/Closing Students are to try to insert a photo into a Word document with some help from the instructor, but mainly with the help from other students if need.

Final Assessment The students are to insert a photo into a Microsoft Word document making no mistakes and receiving no help from the instructor or from others. Students are to type a paragraph about themselves. In the document, students must insert at least one picture relating to what they wrote about.
