If the full text of an article is not available via OVID: Check the AHSL E-journals

Start here to look for electronic journals.

Not all e-journals are available in PDF format!

Also use ALOE when you need to find a book or an a-v resource Type in author’s name or title and click on either author or title Not an AHSL decision—determined by the publisher (we buy what they have available) If an article’s not available in PDF, be sure to search ALOE, the AHSL online catalog, to see if it’s available in paper copy—PDF is identical to a photocopy

Type in the journal title and click “Periodical Title”

Click the VIEW button under the journal title

Scroll down the record to find a list of the volumes available in the Library— most recent are listed first

Has your instructor placed items on reserve for your class? Click on “Reserve Desk” to find those materials

Search for reserve materials under instructor, course number, or course name Type information in the box and click on instructor, course number, or course name

Click on the link to your instructor

Choose the item you want to see and go to the area where it’s located, with the call number

Need to generate the citations and bibliography for the materials you’ve found? Use RefWorks!

On Curriculum Support menu, click Refworks

Click the GO button to go to RefWorks

Click here to sign up for a new account

Complete the form with your choice of login name and password and click the Register button

Wondering about other Electronic nursing resources Available via the Library’s Web site?
