Fire Department RECOGNIZE AND APPROPRIATE $93,000 FROM 2010 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT (SHSGP). Presented by Calvin E. Wells, Fire Chief Fire Department January 14, 2013 City Council

Fire Department Background California Emergency Management Agency requires all regional USAR Task Forces to complete a Mobile Exercise (MOBEX) annually. The Regional Task Force is capable of coordinating and completing technical searches for victims in collapsed structures and coordinating search and rescue canines. The Pasadena Fire Department is the regional coordinator for seven cities within Los Angeles County Area C including, Pasadena, Glendale, Arcadia, Monrovia, San Gabriel, Monterey Park and Alhambra. 2

Fire Department 3 Recommendation Recognize $93,000 from the 2010 SHSGP and appropriate these funds to the Fire Department’s fiscal year 2013 operating budget, Fire Grant Fund (230) to conduct a Mobile Exercise (MOBEX) drill which will include all Regional Task Force 4 (RTF) member cities.
