Technology for Educators, July 8 & 9, 2009 Day 2 Welcome!

Overview of today’s activities  Update debrief from yesterday  Complete “Materials Selection” activity worksheet  Microsoft Office Classroom Teacher tool kit  Integrate technology into instruction and possible student activities/product for lesson  Work on unit plan and lesson plan/webquest  Upload unit plan and lesson/webquest to wiki. Link to class wiki at nt+Wiki+Page+Links (due by July 12, 2009) nt+Wiki+Page+Links  Debrief at end of day

Materials Selection Activity  Complete materials selection activity  Explore application opportunities for teacher unit/lesson design as well as student products/use on PC computers  Debrief

Working Lunch  11:30 AM to 12:30 PM – have lunch and also work on unit, lesson plan or webquest.  Be at your computer station no later than 12:30 PM.

Presenting the Unit Idea  Prepare for presentations  Share unit/lesson ideas with other groups  Use model for oral and written feedback  Three compliments  Two questions  One suggestion  Reflect and revise unit plan and lesson

Group debrief, Day 2  What do you know?  What would you like to know?  How will you learn it?  Share in whole group by brainstorming.  Record responses, participant names, then submit.
