Review l What CS/TTTC provide for sponsored events l The new CS conference business model

Action Items from last meeting l TTTC Liaison in each TTTC sponsored event l TTTC’s responses to CS conference management portfolio l TTTC proposals to respond the new conference business model

TTTC events to 3 categories l Events operate as past under the new model  One exception: SWTW l Events in developing regions  TTTC has negotiated with CS to waive $5k minimum l Events impacted by the new CS model

Events impacted by new CS model l Events who want stay with Computer Society l Events who interested in seeking alternative IEEE sponsorship  IEEE does not grant sponsorship directly to a technical event  Must via a society or a regional section  TTTC is not qualified to provide financial sponsorship  TTTC has preliminary arrangements to help our events for such a sponsorship  Why it is affordable  IEEE logo and insurance provided for free  Only liability, hotel contract review and TMRF review  Requested feedback to our test community

Composite TMRF approved by CS l Events co-located in the same facility reduce CS’s time to review TMRF and hotel contract  Also help simplify GC’s TO-DO list l CS has agreed the charges for contingency (10%) and admin fee (20%) is done for all co- located events as a whole  $5k minimum should be an issue

Composite TMRF (cont.) l Each co-located event still recognized by IEEE l Each co-located event considered as an individual finance entity by CS  Despite the composite TMRF has a main event and lists other events as technical committees l Single point contact between co-located events and CS  Will be appointed by TTTC to streamline the process

Update on the TTTC sponsored events  No new updates since VTS2007  Conditions for a workshop upgraded to a symposium  100+ attendees  Published proceeding  No duplicated abbreviation

CIMA l Conference Information Management Application  The new TMRF on-line submission system  Once CIMA is set up for your conference, you can also work off-line as an Excel spreadsheet as if in the past  notification for each step in TMRF process
