President Position Overview: Local Chapter president shall lead, manage and direct the chapter in a professional and business-like manner. You are the “champion” of your chapter and will focus on making your chapter the leading professional association for IT service and technical support in your geographic area. Essential position functions: Leads chapter meetings and/or assigns to other officers to lead meetings Ensures regular review of chapter bylaws, including adherence as well as on time submission of chapter deliverables. Ensures officer positions are held by engaged individuals Represents the chapter on all official matters Takes steps to ensure that all officers abide by HDI’s LC Policies & Procedures Agreement Hold regular board meetings Fill in for other officers as needed Make an effort to attend and encourage other officers to attend the annual Officers’ Summits Represent the IT service and technical support industry in a knowledgeable and professional manner Foster growth and mentor other officers Officer Requirements: Ability to attend X% of meetings. VP Finance Position Overview: Responsible for Local Chapter expenditures and receipts and maintenance of financial transactions related to the Local Chapter. Ensures that all financial commitments are for Local Chapter purposes only and that HDI Global is not liable for Local Chapter expenses, liabilities or financial obligations, or taxes associated with Local Chapter activities. Essential position functions: Maintains chapter checking account and all financial obligations, including but not limited to budgeting, investments, donations, deposits and disbursements, filing tax id paperwork. Deposits monthly membership checks, as well as other checks and monies sent to chapter, within one month of receipt Updates chapter QuickBooks account in compliance with the HDI Policies and Procedures Provides yearly financial update to HDI National on or before February 15 of each year Supports President when necessary and leads meetings when necessary Officer Requirements: Ability to attend X% of meetings. RSVP promptly and accurately to meeting invites. Responsive to fellow officers, members and potential members. Respond to Chapter related s and inquiries within 2 business days. VP of Programs Position Overview: The Local Chapter Officer Vice President of Programs must assist with the development of Chapter member events. Identify topics, speakers, and meeting agendas with the assistance of other board members, and Chapter members. Chapters reserve the right to add Special Events and other Event Coordinators and divide responsibilities as needed. Essential position functions: Works with officer team to schedule meetings and topics pertinent to members needs Coordinates all meeting needs including: speaker needs and logistics, AV requirements, handouts, refreshments, etc. Keeps speaker contact list for future meetings. Works with all officers to create at least a 3-month calendar of speakers and meetings including contingency plan for specified program. Ensures speaker-engagement information, including meeting location is available to Chapter Officers at least 30 days prior to meeting. Primary contact for developing educational ideas and requests for chapter Officer Requirements: Ability to attend X% of meetings. RSVP promptly and accurately to meeting invites. Responsive to fellow officers, members and potential members. Respond to Chapter related s and inquiries within 2 business days. Sufficient time to dedicate to a volunteer position. VP of Content Relations Position Overview: The Local Chapter VP of Content Relations is responsible for the management of the content of the Local Chapter. Including but not limited to Meeting Minutes, Flyers, PPT’s, Whitepapers, books and the website. Management and updating of any social media networks including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook are included.
