The 7 Body Systems By: Mr. Purtlebaugh’s 4 th Grade Class!

Now Presenting… On the following slides, the students in Mr. Purtlebaugh’s class have researched and learned about the 7 body systems. They have worked in groups to create the following slides for your enjoyment and information!

The Nervous System By: Sam M., Andrew and Luke

Nervous system Sense organs are in the nervous system. Sense organs help get you get information about your environment. There are five sense organs.

Nervous system The location is through out your body.

The human brain is a mass of neurons by the skull.

Nervous System Get plenty of rest and sleep. And wear a seatbelt when you ride in a car.

Muscular System By: Rachel, Alivia, Kilie C.

How Muscular System Works Your brain sends a message to any part of your body and tells it what to do. There are two types of muscles, voluntary and involuntary. Your voluntary muscles are muscles that you can control. Only voluntary muscles move your bones. Involuntary muscles make movements you cannot control.

Organs Of muscles There are many kinds of muscles. Some of your muscles are :Biceps, triceps, abdominals, quadraceps, hamstrings, gastrocnemius, Gluteus Maxinus, latissimus dorsi, trapezius, and pectoralis major. Your muscles are very strong [hope your stay that way ]

Location Your muscles are mostly located all over your body. They are in your stomach, legs, arms, and your back.

Caring for your muscles Your muscles help your body move. Stretching exercises help keep your muscles flexible. Warming up before exercising prevents injuries. To care for your muscles, you need to exercise regularly. Walking, running, and riding a bike will help your muscles stay strong. Eating healthy foods will also help your muscles stay strong, too.

The skeletal system By Allison, Kiley M., Yamileth, and Teri.

Your skeletal system Made of bones Supports your body Protects your organs You have over 200 bones

Care for your bones Eat foods high in calcium. Exercise regularly. Have good posture. Wear gear that protects you from injury.

Facts Your skeletal system sits, stands, or moves. The place where to or more bones meet is called a joint. Some bones make blood cells in bone marrow.

Bone marrow is a soft tissue in the center of many bones, such as those in your arms and legs.

The End THE END

Respiratory System By: Kailor, Austin, James

Help you breath. Brings oxygen to your heart. Breathing is the movement of air into the lungs and waste gases out of the lungs

Organs Lungs Trachea Nose Mouth

Location Your respiratory system is around the chest area.

Protection Don’t smoke or do any kind of illegal drugs. Exercise, eat healthy, drink water

The END Or is it?

SKIN by: Alexis, Alex, Olivia

Organs The skin is the largest organ in the body. Skin is like a shield it protects the raise of the sun.

Works Protects you from the suns harmful rays and germs from entering your body.

Location Skin is all over your body.

The circulatory system By: Sam, Jordan, Joseph

organs Heart Arteries Capillaries Veins

The Location The heart is in the middle of the chest The arteries are the red vessels right down from the heart The veins are the blue vessels is the other vessel The capillaries are the small blood vessels from the veins

How to care for it and protect it Eat healthful foods Limit fats Exercise 30 minutes per day Avoid tobacco smoke Manage stress

How it works Blood flows throughout the body though blood vessels there are three kinds of blood vessels, arteries, veins, and capillaries Veins are blood vessels that returns blood to the heart

By MATT,AUSTIN,CHRISTIAN

To protect it you can eat healthy food’s to protect it. And you can stay fit.

The Digestive System The digestion starts in the mouth with chewing. The chewing breaks up the food and mixes it with saliva.

The Digestive System The muscles in the esophagus move food down to the stomach. Food gets churned down into the stomach. The stomach acid and other liquids prepare food to be broken down

Location The Digestive is in the stomach The stomach has a small and large in intestine
