 The explosion was one of loudest sound ever heard. It was recorded as one of the top five Volcano's in history. It was said that you could hear it up to 3,000 miles away from where it eruptive. The shock waves from the explosion were recorded on barographs around the globe.

 Krakatoa exploded on August 26–27, 1883, which were among the most violent volcanic events in recorded history.

165 villages and towns were destroyed, 132 were seriously damaged. 36,417 people died, mostly from the tsunamis that followed the explosion. The eruption destroyed two-thirds of the island of Krakatoa.

 The 1883 eruption ejected approximately 25 km (6 cubic miles) of rock. The cataclysmic explosion was heard 4,800 km (3,000 mi) away in Alice Springs, as well as on the island of Rodrigues near Mauritius.

Some people have said that the cost of damage was 60% of the island was destroyed by the volcano and the other two islands were damage to by the volcano 165 villages were totally destroyed and another 132 damaged

 The people of Sumatra and the surrounding areas next to Krakatoa, were not ready for what was coming their way.
