Circulation: Circulation: Circulation is a very important part of our way of living. Circulation is any mode of transportation, such as; bike paths, roads, etc.

Decreasing Traffic We could add in roads to decrease traffic and accidents. Example: If we were to connect Reservoir Road and Flat River Road, there might be less congestion in that area. Even though we might have to make a bridge, we can work on it so we won’t disrupt the environment. We could make a tunnel of some sort, so that if we had to salt the roads, for example, we wouldn’t hurt the fish or any creature (see overhead example). Increasing Options of Transportation If we increase the options of transportation, (such as encouraging use of car- pooling and bikes) not only would it decrease traffic, but it would cause less pollution. We could continue the Green Way and build a parking lot for car-pooling at every exit off the highway. Making Roads Safer Adding in street lights at certain intersections will help to make driving safer. Example: Adding a street light at the intersection of Arnold Road and New London Turnpike will decrease accidents in the area. Example: Adding a street light at the intersection of Arnold Road and New London Turnpike will decrease accidents in the area. Using more sidewalks and signals (stop signs, etc.) will keep pedestrians safer and make driving safer and faster. We could put some side walks on Tiogue Avenue, for example, that way people can walk safer…without getting hit! This may cost us some money, but it would pay off. Our idea to make this money issue better is to have every store on that road pay for what will be done on their land. In other words, if they want the sidewalks they will have to pay for it. If they don’t it will be their loss. Using more sidewalks and signals (stop signs, etc.) will keep pedestrians safer and make driving safer and faster. Traffic volume Arnold Road has a daily traffic volume average of 11,200-11,450 and The Comprehensive Community Plan company doesn’t plan on improving it. Arnold Road has a daily traffic volume average of 11,200-11,450 and The Comprehensive Community Plan company doesn’t plan on improving it. Instead of just improving any road, they should look closer to see what roads really need the work and improve those. Then go onto the ones that will need improvement. If they improve Arnold Road then there would be less accidents and we could work on other roads after that.
