 Kenya’s youth bulge 0-14 = 42% 15 – 35 = 38%  Characterized by a high proportion of children, a rapid rate of population growth and a low proportion of older people  This type of age structure + low levels of development implies 26% likelihood of experiencing civil conflict if youth are relatively well educated and unemployed  2007 = 3 million unemployed young people  2010 = 4.5 million!
