Project Topics How does weather impact our community? Geography Map Skills Diagrams/Text Features Compare and Contrast weather systems Public Service Announcement Simple Research Report Non fiction text  Students will research about the force five: hurricanes, floods, blizzards, tornadoes, and drought. All of this weather impacts communities in different ways. We will research how these storms form, what regions are most likely to be impacted, and how people can stay safe in adverse weather conditions. We will also continue looking at mapping skills and geography, and labeling diagrams and text features in non-fiction text. The students will also be in literature circles reading I survived: Hurricane Katrina Project #4: Storm Chasers
