Today’s Snack  Smoothies! What sorts of things do you like to put into your smoothies? Bananas Berries Yogurt Juice Milk

Discussion  What does it mean to be well hydrated?  What does it mean to be dehydrated?  How do we know if we are hydrated?  What are some ways we can stay hydrated?  What are some of your favourite drinks? Water Juice Milk Anything else?

The Truth About What We Drink  The beverages we drink also count towards our daily intake from our food groups  Each day we need to ensure our water loss is at least equivalent to our water intake

So… how do your favourite drinks measure up? AAt the front of the class is a bowl of sugar. The following slides will have pictures of your favourite drink. One volunteer will come up and guess how much sugar they think is in each beverage. We will compare this to the actual amount.
