We need four servings a day from this food group. Fruit and vegetables are in the second group. They give us vitamins A and C. Fruit also give us sugar which does not harm us like the one in candy. Milk, butter, cream, cheese and yoghurt are in the third group. They give us vitamins and calcium. These are important to make our bones and teeth strong. We must have milk or other dairy products three times a day. Meat, fish, eggs, beans and nuts are also in this group. All these kinds of food help to build our muscles. We must have at least two servings of these. The fourth group includes fats, oils, sugars. We must eat very little of these types of food. To stay healthy it is important to eat different foods from each group.
