Start MainSaver Double-Click on icon on your desktop. Double-Click Icon h

Log into your MainSaver account Type in your user name and password. johndoe **********

MainSaver Start the Maintenance Module. Click on the Maintenance button. Click Here!

The Maintenance Module Click on the Asset Button to bring up the Asset button row. Click Here!

Asset Module Start up the System Hierarchy Manager. (Shortcut: Hit the F7 key!) Release Here! Select the Option Menu

System Hierarchy Manager Choose the System, Slot, and Asset you wish to move. Click here! The System Window Pulldown menu to select the System! Slot/Asset Information Printed Here!

System Hierarchy Manager For this exercise, we will use the MainSaver Training System Select the desired System from this pull-down menu. We’ll use “Msaver Training” for our demonstration Click here!

MAINSAVER TRAINING SYSTEM Click on the “+” symbol to open a hierarchy. We will work on a problem involving “Antenna Curley!” Also, open the hierarchies“Spares”, and “To Be Repaired”.

The Maintenance Process Assume VLA-GIZMO-NUMBER-1 is broken. We want to document the assets/modules movement in fixing the problem. The repair process is 1.Move asset VLA-GIZMO-NUMBER-1 in slot “THINGOFABOB1” to the “TO BE REPAIRED” slot called “FIX ME #2”.

The Maintenance Process Assume VLA-GIZMO-NUMBER-1 is broken. We want to document the assets/modules movement in fixing the problem. The repair process is 1.Move asset VLA-GIZMO-NUMBER-1 in slot “THINGOFABOB1” to the “TO BE REPAIRED” slot called “FIX ME #2”. 2.Move the spare “VLA-GIZMO-NUMBER-3” in slot “SLOT #1” of “SPARES” to the vacated slot “THINGOFABOB1”.

Before proceeding, a few notes and tips: Step 1 will be documented here. The remaining swaps are left as an exercise to the viewer. Make sure you see all the assets and slots you want to deal with before starting the asset moves. For multiple moves, you only have to specify the move slot/asset once. Be sure to select (left click) first before doing the right click. (MainSaver Bug - Assets disappear!)
