Santa’s Emails By Chloe Warman
Sending an email attachment to Santa I pressed the paper clip, and selected a file. I used the language I used so that it sounded formal.
Replying to Santa When replying to someone important you have to use formal language and address them by Mr/Sir/Miss/Mrs. Also use their last name when addressing them.
Forwarding an email I clicked ‘forward’. I don’t have the e-mail anymore.
Group email To create a group e-mail you have to type everyones e-mail address in that are needed in the group.
Compressing Files First you open it in your folder then you press home, share and then zip. This will make your folder smaller so you can forward it an email. It is important to do this so you can send all your work in one.
Muddled Emails Santa is new to using his email. He has emails from elves, from children and from suppliers. How can he keep these in order so they aren’t muddled up? Click on folders and press the + and then it will come up with a blank box for you to write the name for your e-mail This will be helpful because then your e- mails will be organised and you’ll know whats important and whats not.
Address Book It is important to create an address book because you can find all of your contacts easily

Don’t use slang so people understand what you’re saying. Don’t say anything on e-mail you wouldn’t say in real life e.g. don’t be racist because it can be used against you.

Full Email Delete them or send them to your spam folder. Delete them. Santa is new to using his email. He is concerned about the number of emails he has received and he is running out of space. Explain what archiving is and how to do it. Delete them or send them to your spam folder. Delete them. Export from e-mail. Move them somewhere else and save all data. Because who likes spam mail? Archiving is saving old messages to make more space on your e-mail provider and you can compress them which makes it smaller and will be easier to find if needed. Archiving is moving your e-mails from your e-mails onto computer this is called exporting it. People usually store it on an external hard drive to secure it so it’s safe. When you archive properly it saves it as an e-mail and because its saved as an e-mail it means if you need to you can still access it if you need to put it back on your e-mail.
