End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation Sexual-Abuse-Preventive Program for Mentally-handicapped Children Project area Children affected by physical, mental or sexual abuse Project aims 4,000 mild to moderate mentally handicapped (MR) children in HK Provide basic sex education to these children Project design Trained educators visit schools to provide workshops, multi- media teaching approach, puppet shows Train teachers to become sex educators for MR students. Against Child Abuse Well-adjusted, Better Inclusion Project Project areaSurvival and developmental need of children living under poverty Project aims 30,000 children born in cross-border marriage family each year Provide these families with child-care knowledge, adjustment to Hong Kong society, reduce family violence Project design Trained volunteers conduct home visitation and phone counseling Regular group sharing Home visitation and phone counseling Child care knowledge, survival and developmental need of children, community resources Sustainability Advocate for including the project as a public service Right to development and Right to protection of children coming from these families Beneficiaries 50 cross-border marriage families 50 trained volunteers
