Second Semester Unit Plan English 10

Complete A Raisin in the Sun Are they really their Brother’s Keeper?  We will complete Act III By the end of the week  A “Quest” over act III will be to follow, Monday of next week  We will also be beginning a Latin Roots unit  You will get the roots on Monday and have quizzes on Fridays  This is barring other tests—it won’t be every week

Of Mice and Men  Another Brother’s Keeper Story—of a different sort  We will be focusing on two major areas of interest  Race  Gender  Furthermore, we will be watching The Blindside and writing a comparative essay on the two stories

Justice Units  Watch the film 12 Angry Men  Antigone—Sophocles  Greek Tragedy  Moral Development  Julius Caesar  Rhetoric and Power
