THE DESIGN CIRCLE The Design Circle is an effective way to manage people through the process. It can cope with a maximum of 9 people at any one time. People join and leave the circle as their expertise is required. Product champion People exit the design circle and may re-enter later People enter when needed

What has to be managed in design.  First, list all the activities to be done in sequence.  Then work out the time for each.  Then the cost for each.  This will give the total time and the total cost for the development.  See what activities can be done in parallel. (This should reduce the overall time for the design project.)  Then identify who will be involved at each stage of the process.  Now see if there are adequate resources to complete the programme.  Compare the priorities of this with other design projects
