This film plays with many audience expectations. For a start, the film follows a plastic bag that talks and this automatically isn’t what the audience is expecting. The character also has a personality, again something the audience would not be expecting.

There is one developed character in this film, the plastic bag. Throughout the film we follow the plastic bag and learn about his life- about how he wants to find his maker. There is another female plastic bag, however it doesn’t speak and isn’t a developed character.

The film starts with a shot of the bag in a particular location and ends with a shot of the bag in the same location, creating a circular narrative for the film.

The catalyst for this film would be when the bag first meets its maker in the supermarket. This is when his ‘first breath’ is taken and he comes to life, speeding the film along.
