Poison Ivy By the end of this presentation, you should be able to identify the plants, the rash and learn effective treatments

Poison Ivy Dermatitis

What DOES NOT Work Soap and Water Detergents Alcohol Solvents None of these treatments bind with the urushiol oil so that it can be washed off; the oil repels all of these older ineffective remedies

What Does Work Specifically TEC NU, a product that when applied according to directions (the sooner after exposure the better), binds to the urushiol oil that causes the rash and makes it soluble in water so it can be effectively washed off. It comes as a spray and cream in a variety of containers and applicators. I have personally recommended it for over 20 years to hundreds of people and I have never seen it fail. Not once! I would NOT go into the woods or camping without it.
