“What Are You Guys Doing Again?” Magnetic Levitation!!! – Small neodymium magnet suspended a minimum of 2 inches from solenoid (nee-oh-dimm-ee-uhm)

“Can Team 125 Keep Up With Their Deadlines?” Completed Milestones Since October Program Review Fri 01 Nov Complete Design Document, first complete draft (ver. 0.9) Fri 08 Nov Complete Design Document, advisor-approved draft (ver. 0.95) Complete Final Budget Draft Fri 15 Nov Complete Design Document, final draft (ver. 1.0) Complete Final Budget Missed Milestones Since October Program Review

“Is Team 125 Still On Track?” Design Paper is turned in! (Nov 15) Parts are ordered! (Nov 15) – Budget was met – Ahead of schedule (Dec 6 th ) Initial testing of solenoid strength! – Voltage/Current required for a small solenoid until the one we ordered gets here

“Now What?” Fri 22 Nov – Create initial plan for prototype build. (Est. Completion 22 Nov) Nov – Thanksgiving Break Fri 6 Dec – Finalize prototype plans (Est. Completion 6 Dec) – Determine lead time for any technician help (Est. Completion 21 Feb) Fri 24 Jan – Present January Program Review – Begin prototype build (Est. Completion 7 Feb)

“Do You Even Magnets?” p/VID_ _ mp4 p/VID_ _ mp4 Yes, we do!

“What’s The Worst That Could Happen?” Parts do not get to us in time for Winter Break – Some group members plan on testing/messing around/playing with parts over Winter Break Parts can’t handle the workload – ex. Solenoid is not powerful enough – Order new parts or work around the problem Next semester it will be hard for everybody to meet at same time due to scheduling conflicts – This may slow down team production – We will have to hold meetings that not everybody will be able to attend

“So You’re Done Talking Then?” Team 125 is on track! Parts have been ordered, budget has been finalized The upcoming challenges are: – Parts – Finding time to meet 7/VID_ _ mp4 7/VID_ _ mp4
