 While sailing, Ian was appalled by the amount of rubbish in the world's oceans. He committed himself to do something about it, starting in Sydney Harbour.  40,000 volunteers turned out to lend a hand to clean up. Later, Ian’s idea became “Clean Up the World” and has spread to many countries.

 Sonia called on her network of friends to start knitting squares which could then be sewn together to produce blankets for people in war zones and natural disaster zones.  In 2011, volunteers around Australia knit and sew with the aim of helping people in need... and some 255,322 wraps have now been shipped all over Australia and around the globe.

 A group of young men from Adelaide decided to raise money and raise awareness about men’s health issues  Each November, participating men grow a moustache and also encourage their friends to go to the doctor for health check ups  Mo bros and sistas raised $72 million in 2010
