The Legend of Ban Pin Mountain

Once upon a time, a small village existed at the foot of Ban Pin Mountain. One day, an old man who was selling dumplings came to the village. He carried a heavy load of hot dumplings which looked and smelled deliciously good to eat.

However, everyone in the village thought the old man was stupid because he yelled, " Hot and delicious dumplings! One for ten cents, two for twenty cents and three for free!"

Everyone called for three dumplings because it’s free. One day has past but the old man earned nothing. On the second day, the old man came to the village again, selling dumplings in the same price.

When the crowd were busy calling three dumpling at once, a man pointed to Ban Pin Mountain and told every one that it looks wired, just like some one had cut it into half. However, no one were focusing on it.

When the day is nearly over, a young man stopped at the old man and called for one dumpling and pay one dollar. Everyone thought he was crazy, but the young man said that the old man should get his money because of his hard work.

The old man was happy and suddenly changed into a god. The god told everyone that he was finding a pupil and will teach him his power. The young man is the man I’m looking for. By the way, The dumplings are actually made from the rocks on Ban Ping Mountain. Then, he picked up the young man, and flew back to heaven.
