2 Multifamily Approach Core program is weatherization We combine Energy Trust incentives with the State’s Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) –These cover ~ 50%+ of project cost Targeted outreach to property owners and management firms City of Portland’s Office of Sustainable Development is the project manager for all MF projects under subcontract with CSG. –OSD does all the project paperwork and BETC filing

6 Windows (gateway to weatherization) Electric Heat –Single glaze existing: Upgrade to U-Value of 0.32 or lower and an incentive of $2.50 per square foot is available. Upgrade to U-Value of 0.30 or lower and an incentive of $3.00 per square foot is available.* –Double glaze existing: Upgrade to U-Value of 0.32 or lower and an incentive of $1.50 per square foot is available. Upgrade to U-Value of 0.30 or lower and an incentive of $2.00 per square foot is available.* Gas Heat –Single or double glaze existing: Upgrade to U-Value of U-0.32 or lower and an incentive of $1.75 per square foot is available. Upgrade to U-Value of U-0.30 or lower and an incentive of $2.25 per square foot is available.*

7 Measures (cont’d) Doors $25 per door Requirements: From an existing exterior door of R-2 or less, bring door R-value to R-5 or greater. Gas furnaces 90% AFUE, $150 Heat Pumps Upgrade an existing heat pump to a high efficiency heat pump: –HSPF 8.2; SEER 14, EER 11.5, or better - $150 –HSPF 8.5; EER 12, or better - $200 Replace an electric furnace or electric resistance heat (baseboard or in-wall unit): –HSPF 8.2; SEER 14, EER 11.5, or better - $300 HSPF 8.5; EER 12, or better - $400
