ORDER OF OPERATIONS Back to the Future

Its all Review Order of operations with Integers works the same way for whole numbers, integers, fractions decimals etc. Different looking, but still the same.

PEDMAS Our Old Friend…. –PARENTHESIS –EXPONENTS –DIVISION MULTIPLICATION –ADDITION –SUBTRACTION It still works! We just have to watch out for positive and negative numbers!

Examples -3 x x (-2) = -6 + (-8) = -14 NOT……… -3 x x (-2) = -3 x 6 x -2 = -18 x -2 = 36 Write the Top of each page. IT WILL HELP YOU!!!

Example # (62 – 52) = x (10) = = 56 Not…… -4 +6(62-52) = 2 x (10) = 20

JUST REMEMBER! ParenthesisExponentsDivisionMultiplicationAdditionSubtraction
