Week 5 Submit Logbooks for Evaluation Make-Up Lab & Studio Study for Exam 1 !! Review problems in chapter 5.5 to prepare for Exam 1.

Week 5 - LAB Make-up Week Please bring your Engineering logbooks to your LAB class. The instructors will collect your logbooks and review them. Your Engineering Logbooks will be returned to your mailfolder.

Week 5 - LAB Make-up Week Please use the time available from lab period to go to the Erdle Commons or the Engineering Learning Center, and practice solving problems, to help prepare you for your examination this week. This is a review week. Students who have not completed a lab during the preceding four weeks may use this week to make up missed labs.

Week STUDIO - Make-up Week You will be submitting a PEER EVALUATION of your Group members online during this time. You will be submitting a SURVEY related to the first half of the Quarter online during this time.

Week STUDIO - Make-up Week Please use the time available from Studio period to study. You can go to the Erdle Commons or the Engineering Learning Center, and practice solving problems, to help prepare you for your examination this week. This is a review week. Students who have not completed a Studio session during the preceding four weeks may use this week to make up missed studios.

Week 5 Exam 1 Given on Thursday, April 4 th in GOL-1620 (Golisano Hall - Building 70) You will have from 10:00am – 11:50am to complete the exam. The Exam is closed-book and closed-notes. An Equation Sheet will be provided for you. This Equation Sheet is included in the Week 5 Reading Assignment and is posted on myCourses for your reference.

Week 5 Exam 1 You will need a Calculator for the exam. There will be 3 Questions as outlined below: QuestionDescription 110 Multiple Choice questions (Answers entered on Scantron sheet) 2Long answer work-out problem based on content from weeks Long answer work-out problem based on content from weeks 1 - 4

Week 5 Projectile Motion Discussion

Solve problem Consider the schematic in Figure 4.1 and imagine that the block was being lowered into a pool of fluid, and is experiencing a friction force of F liquid directed vertically up. Draw a FBD for m 2. Assume that the block is falling with some acceleration a z Apply Newton's Second Law in the z direction to derive an equation for the block's acceleration.
