Types of global environments

Who Lives In A Rainforest Different animals live in different strata of the rainforest. Most birds live in the canopy and in the emergents. Larger animals generally live on the forest floor, but others like a howler monkey or a sloth are arboreal. Insects are found almost everywhere in a rainforest. A rainforest is where it is because it is a home for animals. It is also a source of medicine. If we did not have rainforests that would mean animals would not have a place to stay and we our selves would not have medicine.

What Makes It Unique ? A rainforest is so unique as it has trees different types of animals plants with big green leaves. A rainforest is either warm or hot it is never freezing cold. Rainforests receives at least 80 inches of rain per year. Scientists believe that about half of the plants and animals found on earth's land surface live in the rainforests.

Polar lands polar bear, caribou, musk ox, wolf, wolverine arctic fox are just some of the animals that live in polar lands. In polar land the temperature hardly ever goes above freezing in either area, the land and the sea are frozen most of the year. Polar lands are located inside the Arctic and Antarctic circles.

Wetlands The Wetlands is a large, wet zone below stonewrought dam and north of loch Modan, covered with small rivers, lakes, and ponds. It is bordered on three sides by mountai, the wetlands are open to the ocean to the west. Wetlands is full of amazing birds like herons, pelicans, storks, and egrets. There is also a variety of ducks, geese and swan that can be found swimming and nesting in the wetlands. Many of these birds are just passing through the wetlands as they migrate.
