Let’s Read About Farm Animals.

The pig lives in a sty. It gives us ham, bacon and sausages. It has a flat nose and pointed ears.

The cow gives us milk. From milk we make cheese and chocolate. The baby of the cow is called a calf.

The cat likes to catch mice. It likes to eat fish and drink milk. It can see in the dark.

The goat gives us milk like the cow. It likes to eat grass. Its baby is called a kid.

The dog likes to eat bones and meat. When it is happy it wags its tail. Its babies are called puppies.

The cock crows in the morning. It lives on the farm. It doesn’t lay eggs like the hen.

The horse runs in the field. It sleeps in a stable. It likes to eat apples and hay.

The sheep gives us wool. From wool we make clothes and blankets. It likes grazing in the fields.

The rabbit lives in a hutch or in a hole in the ground. It has long ears, and a short tail. Its baby is called a bunny.

The hen lays eggs. We eat the eggs for breakfast. Eggs are good for us.

The duck lives in the pond. It likes to swim. It says quack, quack. Its babies are called ducklings.
