What are domestic animals ? The animals which we keep at home are called domestic animals. eg,.cow ,dog,hen,cat goat,sheep,pig,etc

The Cow The cow gives us milk. The cow dung is a good manure. The young ones of cow are called calves. Milk is a complete food.

The Dog The dog guards our home. It barks at strangers. It is a faithful animal. The young ones of dogs are called puppies.

The Hen The hen gives us eggs and meat. The young-ones of hen are called chickens. Eggs are rich in proteins.

The Cat The cat is a pet animal. It kills the rats. The young-ones of cat are called kittens.

The Goat The goat gives us milk and meat. It’s meat is a rich source of proteins and fat. It’s young- ones are called kids.

The Sheep The sheep gives us wool. Wool is used for making woolen clothes. The sheep also gives us milk. The sheep’s young-ones of sheep are called lamb.

The Pig The pig gives us meat. The meat of pig is called pork. It’s young-ones are called piglets.

The Camel The camel is called the ship of the desert. It carries load and helps to travel in desert. It can store water and can walk in the sand.
