ABSTRACT We would like to present two uncommon breast lesions, one a rare subtype of breast carcinoma which is medullary carcinoma of breast and other a case of breast abscess in a male patient which is also quite rare. Medullary carcinoma of the breast is a rare subtype of breast carcinoma, which occurs in relatively younger age group. Lesion is typically round or ovoid mass with circumscribed or ill-defined margins on imaging and can mimic benign lesions like fibroadenoma. Microlobulations and internal vascularity provide clue to diagnosis.

The male breast is also susceptible to most of the same pathological conditions as female breast. Some of the nonneoplastic benign entities that involve male breast include sebaceous cyst, intramammary lymphnode, hematoma, fat necrosis, subareolar abscess, breast augmentation, secondary syphilis and nodular fasciitis. Imaging plays a major role in accurate diagnosis of these conditions, thereby avoiding invasive treatment. Subareolar abscess in a male patient is uncommon and only few reported cases available in the literature. In this poster, we wish to describe the imaging findings of medullary carcinoma of breast, which can be mistaken for a benign lesion of breast and also the role of imaging in diagnosing male breast diseases.
